Lady in Waiting, a dedication to Hattie Brown.

I came across this waiting room story, “Waiting for something or someone in the hospital room” story by, Dr. Gerald W Deas, who is affectionately remembering a patient named Hattie Brown. He gets to an little discussed or thought about idea how waiting rooms can be a refuge, a home away from home, a community, a place to socialize in their day. This is especially true, when your ill, need to go to the hospital or doctors a lot. The waiting can transcend it’s functional purpose. And, so we have a touching poem dedicated to a lady who touched Dr Gerald’s heart enough for him to dedicate a poem….”Lady in Waiting”
